case ih dx25e
Hello,

The white stuff will be here soon. I recently purchased a block heater for a CaseIH DX25E, and have no idea where to start. The block heater looks fairly simple.

But where is the block , where does this thing go?

Sorry I am new to the compact tractor world.

Any advice will help.

Generally the block heater replaces one of the frost plugs in the engine block.
Either the heater instructions will tell you the how and the owners or shop manual will tell you the where.
Draining the coolant is the first step, popping the frost plug next and simply insert and tighten into place.
Removal is easy; drive a screw driver into the frost plug and pry it out replacing it by the block heater. Sand smooth the area and add a tad of grease with the finger, insert and tighten . Check for any leaks and you're done.
It is a 1/2 hr job!

One tip is to use a timer set to preheat about 1-2 hrs B4 usual usage or again as I do buy a remote control (like car starter) device and simply preheat about 2 hrs B4 usage.

When it snows I remote heat as soon as I get up and B4 1st cup of coffee.
By the time I breakfast and dress the tractor is ready 4 me to work.

Occasionally an inline hose type is called for, again the manual will be your guide.

If you purchased from the dealer then he would be able tell you which plug to pull.
