I picked up a 1968 IH 444 gasser, runs quite well but needs a few things done to it. Like adjusting the clutch for the PTO, No drawbar, & no swing chains on the lower links. I also got a loader that came off a 444 (not this one) and need to figure out where to tie in the hydraulics. What shop/owners manual would be my best buy?

Hands down, IH, OEM Blue Ribbon manuals. They are very descriptive of a procedure. You can get by with the basics with an I&T manual, but they have a LOT to be desired.

I've gotten many of my Blue Ribbon manuals on ebay. Bad thing is, they come in segments of the tractor. Engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc., etc., all separate manuals.

Jensales may have a complete manual. I had one for a 180 Massey, but print quality wasn't the best. Hopefully they've improved on that.
