D40 trade
Just kicking it around but thinking of tradeing my 2001 D40 (450 hrs) for new DX40. Dealer says about $10k difference. How does that sound? I think a little high but really don't know.

Re: D40 trade
Just something to consider...
Since your tractor is not a DX, there's about $3000 worth of difference new, so my take is that your deal is really about $7000 difference. You have to make this adjustment so you are comparing "apples to apples." As always, you don't have to tell the dealer you understand that. I'd make the best deal you can make. CHeck trades on other colors and drop a hint that you are doing that. If he has some room to sharpen his pencil, that might help. Since you already have a great tractor, I think you have the best bargaining position.Jim
