IH 574 pto problem
I have a IH 574. Just this year I noticed that the pto started to run without being engaged. I haven't found any thing in the manual that explains why it is running. I could use some ideas before I talk to my dealer.
Thanks

Re: IH 574 pto problem
Independent PTO's have a "brake" that keeps it from turning when not in use. They go bad. It's internal and usually hard to get at. I've got a 574 sitting outside of my shop right now. It's in need of a bunch of work. It'll be for sale as soon as I get everything in working order. (Bought cheap at auction) I'm waiting for owner/parts/service manuals to show up so I can ge started. They're good tractors.

Call me when you get it running and we'll talk if the price is right.
