CaseIH DX40
HELLO TBN! I have been reading TBN for a couple months now. I wanted to say thanks for helping me decide on a Case DX40 that I have had for almost 2 weeks now. I love the tractor! It was a 2005 model that the dealer wanted to sell pretty bad. I got 4 wheel weights, grill guard, two rear remotes, FOPS canopy, and of course the LX116 loader. The cost was $23,162 w/o taxes. Was it a good deal for a 2005 model with 2 hours on the machine? They did get me a new seat since it was sitting outside (under a canopy however). I also bought a 72" LP finish mower (FDR25), a 72" LP BB (BB25), a 72" LP Tiller (RTR20), and a LP PD w/9" auger (PD25). I wish I would have gotten at least a 12" auger. I can give details on those costs if you guys want to know.

Let's see if I can figure out how to post a picture or two.

Thanks for all the help TBN!

Ray

If anyone has any good thoughts on a type of trailer for this tractor and my Chevy 1500 Z71 please let me know. I think I will be right up to my max trailer weight of 7,800 lbs if I go with a 2 5200# axled trailer. Anyone out there with a DX40 pulling with a 1/2 ton? I do live in Kansas and don't plan on taking this into the mountains. Thanks.
