I have an old 446 that I am restoring. We have the Onan engine working well now, just need mufflers, so if you have a set in good condition, please give me a call.
We are having trouble with the clutch adjustments. We took it apart and removed all of the rust (it had sat for a long time) and put everything back the way the parts manual says but there seems to be too much space between the C clamp and the flywheel for one thing and when you put the clutch in gear the engaging arm comes back to where it rubs on the flywheel. Does anyone have any ideas? The clutch lever linkage to the engaging arm appears to be in order. We have taken it apart and replaced the parts, following the parts diagram several times and are confident that they are all in the right places. Any help would be appreciated.
