How many hours are on this tractor?

Is this a loader tractor or a loader/backhoe tractor?

Have you owned it since it was brand new?

How often have you changed out the hydraulic fluid since you have owned it?

What brand of oil and what weight/grade of oil have you used in the hydraulic system?

Where do you feel it is lacking in power? Ground speed? Or loader function?

Welcome to TBN. If it is a hydro it could be bypassing hydraulic pressure it will not pull as well as it is not building proper hydraulic pressure. Just a thought as you said that the pump sounds different. I would check the pressure to see if it is in bypass. It would help if you could post pics of the machine and some more info.
