Anybody ever try to get a little more power out of their naturally aspired diesel engine? I know with the old 12 valve cummings you can just simple turn up the fuel pump and add more power. I was thinking about talkting to my dealer to get a price for the 2800(which has a turbo) exhaust manifold and turbo? Anybody ever try that?

Not sure what you are asking. Are you saying that you want to try to add a turbo unit to your tractor, or that you are going to get a price on a new tractor?

I'd let this thread die.

Then, I'd start a new titled differently. More power? More Power-Tweak Injector Pump? That kind of title.

Or something like that. Your present title is too generic and isn't getting enough hits. Interest in Branson is pretty low, no offense intended. Too small a market share. There might be more interest in a generic how do I get more power, if possible, from this diesel engine, kind of thread. FWIW

You put this in the Branson Zetor forum. Awfully small audience.

Ouch, talk about bashing the brand you don't own. I guess the tractor brand you own is sooo much better.

No sir. The OP wondered why he didn't get responses and I spoke the truth. His title was generic and only had 66 hits.

No sir, you jumped to a conclusion that is quite untrue.
Here's to hoping you grow thicker skin or overcome your hyper sensitivity.

Here in WV Branson is becoming so popular that our dealer here is number one in sales and literally cannot keep enough tractors on his lot. This is my first tractor so I cannot compare to too much but i did try alot out and liked this the most.

I'm currently looking at a 00 series, was leaning towards the 2800h but will have to wait for new stock to arrive. 2400 is available now.

I have no idea what the real-world difference would be between the two, but I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has directly compared both versions.

Tucke, you reckon the 24HP is a bit underpowered? Have you tried a 28?

You may find more info by going to the website TractorData.com You will be able to at least possibly compare the different models and obtain some info in regard to your request. Good Luck.:):tractor:

The difference would be the 2800 gets the additional 4 horsepower from a turbo. Everything else on the branson is the same. I am happy with the power the tractor puts out I just wish it had shuttle shift. Branson Tractors - Home
