I have a Branson 3510 read through this site and can see many debates on what to use in the front Axle. The manual says to use Hydrolic fluid. My dealer recommends gear lube. I am going to use hydrolic fluid. I looked at the power steering and it appears to be attached so that the fluid in the front axle also flows through the system. I also notice when I topped off the front axle the level of fluid on the rear indicator increased. Maybe I am wrong but personaly I think it is best to do what the manual says. Any thoughts on this?

I'm no expert, I have a ford , but I don't see how the front axle oil can be attached to the "main" hydraulic reservoir.Mine is separate, and have always used the same HYD oil as the tractor. But not the same reservoir.
Hope someone else can comment further.

The manual calls for hydraulic fluid.
