Anyone tried the new Oregon chain sharpening system? Video sure looks like it works well?

What is total cost for sharpener/blade and chain?

I must be lazy as I do not like sharpening with the vice system and I have not learned to sharpen effectively with just the file and guide...I will be an early adopter if the new Oregon works?

After watching the video I can see how it sharpens the tooth...but how does it keep the depth guide at the right height?

Thanks All...Tom R

P.S. Maybe there is an existing thread...I will also try a search...TMR

Not sure how you can sharpen a chain by grinding the top edge of the tooth.

I had an old Sears Craftsman saw years ago that had a sharpener built in, it was OK but it was by no means great.
Also Sears was the only place you could get chains that worked with that system

Another thread on the Powersharp system.

I didn't realize until the OP posted, that it was an Oregon product.

The depth guide, if there is one on that special chain, likely gets honed off when the teeth are sharpened as they go around the tip.

When I reviewed it at a live demo at the Lake States Logging Congress in Green Bay last month, the sales rep said the chain was about double what regular chain is priced at. Also, the chain will not last as long with this sharpening system. For some, it was perfect for those who can't keep the chain out of the dirt and can't comprehend the sharpening by hand.
