I believe it is the 510. I have a 510 and it is a very good saw.

Mine has the factory 18 inch bar running 3/8 chain. You could probably get away with a 20 inch bar if you stayed with 325 chain. I am going with a 16 inch bar after I wear this one out. I have a 6401 Makita to take care of the 20 inch stuff. They are great saws!

Can't figure out what Dolmar this is equivalent to. Anyone know?

Assuming you are talking about the older makita saws, and not some new one that just came out that I havent heard of yet....

The 520 was the same as the 111 dolmar. And the 5200 was the same as the 115 dolmar. Both are basically the SAME only tuned different. The 520/111 was 2.4kW power (3.2HP) and the 5200/115 was 2.7kW (3.6HP).

And if it has the letter i after it, it is the injection carb. All that means is that they have an enrichening jet instead of a choke butterfly and/or primer bulb. They started a lot easier.

http://www.makita.com/en-us/Assets/Images/Products/DCS520i/owners_manuals/DCS430.pdf Scroll down to page 17 and they list the specs.

OK, thanks. Think it has enough azz to run a 20" bar? The Dolmar 510 says it can be had with optional 20" bar

You can run a 30cc saw with a 20" bar if you want. It all just depends on how fast you want to cut.

So the answer is yes, you can cut with a 20. Will it cut as fast as a 60+cc with a 20"...NO. But it can certainly run a 20" though.
