I have both those saws, plus the 455 Rancher, which replaced the 55. The 455 has a CR valve, which is
a huge benefit. Did you know that your 55 has a place for a CR valve? It is in the side of the cylinder,
and you need to tap it out and drill a small hole. The valve only costs $5. I just replaced the cyl on my
55, and I got the one with a CR valve already tapped into it. A big improvement.
yes, I know there is a boss that was cast into the head for a CR. Just wondering why they didn't finish the process. Replacing the head may be easier than tapping this one out. I would have no idea what size to drill and tap for the CR.
Until them, I will fight with the sorry wild thing, fight with this 55, or just carry the 372 with me.
