had a thief walk through my front door while I was at my neighbors and steal my chainsaw its a Stihl ms 440 magnum easily i.d.ed if you unscrew the air cleaner cover there is a triangle shaped piece held down by two screws with 1 stud at the top which the cover screws on to i dropped this piece and a new one was 20 some bucks so i made 1 from a thick washer using the original stud and my drill and grinder also it only came with 1 dawg and i replaced the sprocket cover with one from a 064 magnum which has 2 dawgs any one finds it give me a hollar there's a 100 dollar reward for the sawand a 500 dollar for the thief dead or alive lol

yep probably will atleast i hope so i reported it they sent out a deputy n i told him to come in, and i showed him where it had been and told him i had just saw it that morning he said did ya wife move it ? i replied no she wasn't here and i already tore the house apart looking before i called. he proceeded to walk right past me turn the corner nwalk down my hall to the end at my son's room looked in spoke to my son turned n said what's these two rooms?I said laundryroom and bedroom as I opened the door to the laundryroom he glanced in turned and opened my bedroom door switched on the light and walked in looking around like I had it hid in the closet or something so I said "my wife's underwear drawer is the top one on the left if you wanna look" I mean pissed me off to the max I'm the victim here not the crook Barney what nerve!!! but thanks theres been several thefts in my neighborhood in the last couple weeks i'd be happy to get it back but even happier to hear that someone shot his sorry ***(the thief)

Check Craigslist as well, I had some irrigation valves stolen last year and thought the thieves would just scrap them but they got greedy and listed them, I showed up and took them back with the blessing of the kids father after explaining his "options" regarding his sons fate.

I've seen this before and a lot of times they will come back again. Just because people wouldn't think that they would do that again... Food for thought... I would look into some kind of camera with a back flash etc. I sell them at the link below or you could look other places? I even have cedar bird houses for some of them to hide the cameras. I hate thieves and it is quite funny here on my property, for some reason nobody comes on it... Wouldn't have anything to do with cameras everywhere!!!! I hope you find your stolen items either way!

I have been robbed twice where I used to live. Prevention helps a little. Moving away from these areas worked best for me.

That really stinks!! Both ways!! Especially if you liked where you lived.... I have 7 cameras at different places on my property going all the time and you will never know where I move them too... If someone comes on the property I will get them on camera!

Being robbed is a personal violation that is extremely difficult to live with for us. The first time they blew the brains out of my Doberman all over the kitchen floor. A person feels their that home is no longer safe. Catching someone on camera would be of little comfort to me. The damage would have already been done.

Man that is tough, I understand it would be of little consolation but if you had a face to turn in or look for, it would give you a little piece of comfort, just a little, and with that I could only hope you could fry the @holes! I am sorry to hear about your dog also, I am very much a dog person and couldn't even imagine coming home to that....

Police are of little or no help. Being robbed is a thing that they feel folks should simply live with. I'm not sure if that is right or wrong. Again prevention is much better than security cams after the fact. It's like insurance after a fire. Not much comfort there.
