50 and 59cc pro-saw with semi-pro as backup

which make : stihl , husky, jonsered or sachs dolmar? I used to have 2 50cc saws.

IMHO, I would look at Stihl first. After reading and hearing some expierience, I would probably look at Dolmar second...

Just FYI, there is no "sach-dolmar" anymore. Just dolmar.

And dolmar doesnt make a "semi-pro" saw in that range. Just pro.

I would look at getting...

PS6400.......64cc.......4.8HP......13.6lbs........~$600

Get an 18" on the 5105 and a 24" on the 6400.

For ~$1000, I challenge you to find a better combo from any other make:thumbsup:

The MS260 is no more it is the updated strato MS261 and up north a guy that is in pulp production said it is the best 50cc saw he has ran to date. Over his 5100, 346xp, 260, redmax 5000, partner 5000 and the list goes on. Some of his saws run different then they do down here due to the ocean far NE air.

I am hearing good things about the MS261 and want to test one.

I have a friend that has a stock 346xp and 5105 with 5100 stock muffler and they are both very impressive.

Would like to run a MS261, 346xp, 5105 all back to back.

Just my non-pro experience, but the 024/026/260 series has always been a nice, well balanced saw. Of course, I have been a fan since my Grandmother got my Dad an 024AVE back in '81 or so...
