Default Selling Tractor (tears are flowing)

Guys,

My job has changed during last year and now I travel out of the country every other week. We have sold our house and some of the property, to move in a neighborhood closer to the airport (DFW). It is tough, but the wife can't keep up with everything on her own.

I am going to be selling my tractor and equipment. I don't know how much to ask for it. I want to make it a good deal for someone who wants this, so I don't have to mess with selling it for long. I also would like to get a fair portion of what I paid if possible. The tractor is a Foton 404 - 4WD - 4 cylinder diesel (Perkins Clone) Spirit Loader (Mfg in Wis), toothbar and has 126 hours. It looks and runs like brand new. Mostly bush hogging the 40 acres, moved some round bales, and scraped the driveway. I have post digger, 7 ft scraper, 6 ft golf course aeriator, and farm star 6-1/2 ft bush hog to get rid of also. If you have any ideas of the price I should ask, please send me a message or email me.

I hate to see it go, but it will be best for the family to relocate. I currently live between Athens & Corsicana Texas. We will be moving soon.

Please share your advise if you can.

Thanks
John

I forgot to add the picture was taken last summer. The bucket has a toothbar now.

Please email me if you have suggestions on how I should price this.

Thanks

John

I can not give a suggestion just a comment. I thought about trading mine in ... most dealers didn't even quote a trade in value. The one that did wanted to steal it. I listed it on CL ... not a response ... put it on tractor house with not even a call. Decided to keep it.

Good luck and sorry you are selling. But am also glad to have a good job!!

Blue River,

I appreciate your feedback. I didn't know what to ask. I will list it and see how it goes. This little tractor is very handy so hopefully someone else will need one like we did.

Thanks,

John

First sorry to hear of your situation.

You may wish to talk with locally owned rental centers. You might find a buyer in one of them. You also might find offering it as a package and then separate works for your advantage. Also check with equipment auction companies. No idea how they are in Texas nor here for last few months but to me they are better for the seller than the buyer.

That is a great looking tractor. Have you determined what you would sell it for? I have a Farm Pro 2425 that I have been very happy with but I don't have an FEL.
