surprised actually. i had originally figured jinma may be better due to #'s out there.

is it a parts issue.. or build quality issue?

Build quality and materials, no question. That said, Every part I ordered (for the Foton owner) was here within 3 work days. In my estimation, parts would be that Shennui's Achilles heel

I think the Jinma of late, last 10 years or so, are on par with Foton. My 2004 with over 1000 hrs on it has been great.

So far its need a thermostat, starter (not really but was finicky so I put on the gear reduction unit), a battery, new front tires, one hydro hose, and a voltage regulator.

Only reason it needed the hose was I cut it on a scrap steel pile. Same with the front tires, I cut it.

So really the only failures were the thermostat, $5, & the voltage regulator, $20.
