Not necessarily. On the TaiShan I owned, power steering had a separate pump with it's own filter. It was hanging off the side of the engine, a silver canister with a replaceable internal filter.

Got it.. this is how i see that but im not sure.

1. Oil filter
2. New Hydraulic filter setup
3. Fuel Filter
4. (old hydraulic filter setup?)

Also, I'm planning on draining and cleaning the strainer today.. i found this schematic of the plumbing here. but it's for steering (2004) mine is 1998, but it looks close, and it shows it plumbed into the strainer.. i added the red to show the remaining plumbing in the back for the lift.

I've got the line going into the strainer at #4 and another on the opposite end of the strainer canister. Those red lines for me represent the lift hydraulics and where my attention is.

Also I couldnt find anything regarding this '?' in the picture- that 90コ elbow piece..

#2 looks to be a fuel filter, not hydro.

That 90 degree elbow piece is a single hydraulic remote, typically for a hydraulic dump bed trailer. If it had a QD connector on it, you'd have probably recognized it yourself. That hex bolt I described diverts hydraulic flow from the rear lift to that elbow. It may also have something to do with why your lift arms don't respond. With the flow diverted and the lift lever pulled up, hydraulic pressure raises a connected trailer bed. When you push the lever back down, gravity pushes fluid back to the sump via the same elbow.

And yes, #2 is a fuel filter. #4 is the original fuel filter housing. A spin-on canister similar to the oil filter screws into the bottom. Apparently a previous owner decided to cap it off, and use an automotive inline filter instead. I'd be inclined to return that to original equipment, as the canister has far more filtration area.

#3 isn't a filter at all, however it does have a screen in the head. That's the fuel sediment bowl. Dirt and water collect there, and must be drained/cleaned periodically.

If you still have the PDF I would like to have a copy. My tractor is a KAMA 354X but the manuals are for a TS354C. I don't really know but it sounds like my KAMA is a 3 cylinder version of the TS354C.
I have converted my 354C parts manual to PDF; if anyone needs one just let me know.

I could use your PDF version of the parts manual if you still have it available!
