    Default Other Agrison victims?

    Hi all,

I would like to share my experience with my recently (August 2012) bought Agrison 50hp G3 Turbo tractor. Since the purchase I have done around 50 hours of operation. Main purpose is to slash my paddocks. Within this timeframe the front rim broke three times. The first time it happened whilst slashing the paddock (rather steep hills) and the tractor almost rolled over.

Agrison replaced the rim twice under warranty, but I知 still waiting for the replacement of the third rim (since 3/01/2013). Due to long delivery times of the replacement rims the tractor is not operational for a considerable amount of time (more than 12 weeks up to now). This has caused considerable cost, as I had to contract out the jobs intended to be done with the tractors.

Further - seen that there are already three rims which broke in the short time of operation - it is only a question of time until the next rim will break. The tractor is unsafe and not suitable for the intended use (e.g. to slash the hills of my paddock).
The tractor is unsafe and is not suitable for the intended use.

    Cheers,
    Photos will follow

    Hiya

There have been a few threads here on Agrison. As this thread develops and you meet others with problems, regularly save the entire HTML pages as such threads can suddenly disappear. This can occur as the admins of this site may receive legal material. Best to make contacts here, and swap email contacts. Also remember in Aust you have in NSW Lodge a complaint - NSW Fair Trading and in Vic Consumer Affairs Victoria; http://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/conta...ke-a-complaint
    You're in Kurrajong, NSW?

    Hi mike,
Yes already lodged a complaint with Fair Trade? Next step would be to lodge one with consumer affairs as I definitely consider this tractor as unsafe. I already saw myself down in the dam.

    Cheers,

Wow, that is a busted rim, for sure...no excuse for that! I can't imagine any sort of user abuse that would cause that...manufacturing defect for sure...steel used is improper for the task. Three rims!!! Amazing! Any chance that the bolt holes match some other manufacturer rim?? I know you are in a location where getting parts is not a simple matter. Doubtless you have already tried that!

FYI...yes, sometimes a thread is pruned or removed by an admin...but for reasons of violation of site rules...usually name calling or political content, typically both...have NO recollection of a thread being removed, ever, for a legitimate post related to tractor problems or manufacturing defects.

Apart from Fair Trading, before someone gets killed or severely injured please be sure to submit your "experience" as an Unsafe Product Report to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), the ACCC have the power to force a safety recall/corrective action from the distributor/manufacturer via this link :-
    Report an Unsafe Product

Should the ACCC force the distributor into a safety recall it will also make your case for financial recourse far easier.

I am sorry but you are wrong with this especially were it concerns this dealer.
I have had threads deleted as have others.
Not complaining about it just pointing out the facts.
Having seen the op photos it would not surprise me if a complaint is not lodged and this thread go the same way.

One look at the picture of the cracked rim makes me believe it's due to metal fatigue, probably due to a combination of poor quality steel which is too thin for the intended application. It appears that the rim is flexing in/out where it's fastened by the lug nuts, leading to a fatigue crack.

There are wheel reinforcement rings made to support the area where your wheels have broke. Check with the dealer to see if your manufacture has these rings available. They are typically made to reinforce wheels on tractors with loaders.

OK...I stand corrected...you know of specific threads, concerning this dealer, which were deleted.

I do note that Agrison is seldom present on this site...I didn't find any dealers, or an Agrison topic, etc...so I speculate that deletes would be for legal reasons rather than bowing to pressure from dealers supporting TBN. Just an observation that Agrison is not a major player in TBN.

IIRC, the threads got into some dealer/manufacturer bashing which (IMO) is why they were pruned/closed.
