Looks real good,
Question for Tommy and others who have done Clutches and or Splitting,
1. The Clutch assembly is it easier to assemble it on the bench and adjust the clutch plate bolts on the bench rather than on the engines? (page 11)
2. When reassembling two half's, if you leave the PTO engaged and turn the PTO SHAFT by hand it will turn the transmission shaft and help it align into the clutch assy, correct? This could be added to page 12.
Mark
To get the transmission shaft into the clutch you need to apply pressure while rotating. You can
either rotate the engine by putting a 27 mm socket on the fan belt pulley and turning clockwise
(make sure the fuel supply is off) or you can rotate the transmission by engaging the PTO and
turning the PTO shaft.
This is GREAT!!! Thanks for posting it. I saved it to my PC. Is there a guide like this for rebuilding the 3 point lift on my Jinma 284? I purchased a kit from one of our vendors last year because I must raise my brush hog every 5 minutes. I have been waiting for a rise in my confidence to do the job as I could not find a detailed guide for doing the job. Thanks again.
