1-1/2 8 spline pto shaft? Anyone heard of this?

Got the new tires on the 1981 taishan 25 and took it for a good run around the dirt roads here and it was great. Now time to hook up a mower and realized that the pto shaft is 1.5" diameter 8 spline. I did a quicl search and found nothing on this size or adapters. Anyone have input on this?

Are you talking about the pto shaft coming out of the tractor or the pto shaft on the mower?

Yea, just what is 8-spline?

The mower stub coming out of the mower gearbox? The pto shaft itself that connects mower to tractor? Or tractor stub shaft?

Sorry, its the shaft coming out of the tractor. Spline to Spline it is 1.5"

I'm thinking it could be metric. Everything here is 1-3/8" six spline for 540/720 r/m and 1-3/4" twenty spline for 1,000 r/m. You MAY be able to find an adapter. Check automotive universal joint applications.
There is also a 1-1/8" six spline. Are you measuring the outside or inside of the splines?

1/3/8 21 spline is another standard 1000 rpm pto.

Not sure at what HP (or if that is even the reason some MFG change) they jump to the larger 1-3/4" 1000rpm

I think it's 60 HP, if I remember correctly. 21 spline is kinda odd.
