I need to replace a Recoil Tensioner on my Case 350B Dozer. Case wants $700+. I found couple of places that sell aftermarket non Case parts. One of them is Tractor Stuff in Indiana, & their price is $360.
Anyone here have any experience with non OEM dozer parts?

I've getting hard parts for my Case backhoe from here. equipment parts source All have arrived as advertised.

If I'm looking at the diagram correctly, They're cheaper by quite a bit.

Might check out Berco or Heavyquip as well.

Thanks guys i'll check those sources out. This thing is really just a spring with a housing around it, so i am thinking on fabbing up a new housing & just replacing the spring. The spring is broken & the threaded in the middle is bent.
I know the spring is under tension so i will be carefull if i dis-assemble.

The asphalt pavers i've worked on a couple of years ago, all used Berco track parts.
Maybe Case used universal parts too ?

Whenever they are available I use aftermarket instead of Cat parts for my dozers. My D3C has a full Berko undercarriage and I had an idler replaced on my D4 high track last year. Aftermarked installed was cheaper than Cat wanted for just the part. No complaints or problems on any of the aftermarket parts yet for me.
