JD450c, case 310 backhoe
I am trying to put a JD450C back to working that has not been cranked in eight years, I have it running but it will not move, everything else works.

Hope to make it work without too much money.

Welcome Doc to TBN. A tractor is good medicine to get away from the rat race.

When you say "it will not move" what do you mean?
Does the engine lug down when you try to move it, but it won't move?
Does the engine not change speed when you try to move it?
Is it a manual transmission or a power-shift?
Oil in torque converter?
How old is the machine?

Btw, :welcome:

I don't think the 450C model was made with a powershift. I believe they only had a manual 4 speed with hydraulic reverser. The C's were made from about 1973-83.

Thanks Bob for the reply, I was pushing some dirt, with all systems go, then it stopped moving forward or reverce. I just ordered a OM from JD will have it Friday. Engine runs great and all other systems work. I did notice that a lot of fluid had leaked from around the left back finial drive.
Before I do anymore I will wait for the Manual. I think it is a 1979.
Thanks for any info.
