My air tools all date from the 1970's and use the automotive style P quick couplers.
My new Rolair Compressor came with a universal coupler that looks identical to this one on Ebay and can accommodate many different styles.

I think in the family we have at least three different styles and it would be nice to no longer have to change fittings if they hold up well and are not prone to leaking.
