Case 580c specs (mid seventies)

Hi. Does anybody have the specs like wieght, hp, extend-a-hoe reach, lift capacity, etc., for a mid-seventies model Case 580c CK? I am thinking of buying a New Holland TC40D with 16LA loader and 758C backhoe, and wanted to get a comparison of the two as far as abilities. I know the TC40D is not the same thing, and it is not apples to apples at all, but I still want to know. I used to have a 580c, and am wondering what my tradeoffs are going to be. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the exact specs, but I know the capacities of a Case 580c will exceed the TC40A specs by a huge margin. Rough specs of a 580c, weight 14,000 lbs., loader lift capacity 5,000 pounds, backhoe digging depth 14 feet, horsepower 75-90. Again, these are rough numbers, maybe someone else has exact specs, but these machines are clearly in different leagues.

Engine hp is more like 51. 3/4yard front bucket.
580C weighs like 12,500 or so...
Hydraulic speed is gonna be faster on the C. The 580C was a very popular machine for Case. It was reincarnated in the 480D,E,F machines and made until the early 90's.

A 580 is a 580, a 480 is a 480. The 580C wasn't reincarnated into the smaller size tractor. The 580C was revamped to a 580D.

580's were all 14' class backhoes
480's were all 12' class backhoes, then later they added the optional 14' hoe for the 480D, 480E,480F. It was the same exact dipper, but with just a longer boom portion. All of the 480's had a single right side mount boom cylinder.

All of the 580's from B-E had twin cylinder over center boom design, they were all 14' class standard hoes. With optional 14'-18' hydraulic telescoping extendahoe as a second choice.

The 580C had a 55hp 207cui Engine. The first series of the D's were the same exact specs as far as loader and hoe goes, except with improved hydraulic performance, and of course some other upgraded features were the cab, red button on loader lever etc.

But there was no reincarnation of the 580C going down a size in tractors.

A 480 was always a 480, a 580 is always a 580. sure they revamped the line, but that is where the similarities end.

Also, in either the D or E versions the engine was changed to the Cummins instead of the Case engine. All from then on use the Cummins.
