Nice old machine. Does it have a 2 cycle GM Diesel?

Yes, it's visible in some of the pictures. It's a 284 cubic inch four cylinder. Here's another angle, under the seat.

We put the new seals into the steering hydraulic control valve.

Thought we were gonna reseal the steer cylinders, but wrong packing. It came with the machine, doh! I have the right part number to order a seal kit for them. Need the bushings too, they're worn.

Just ordered the correct parts manual for this serial number, new from Sycamore Worldwide. $215 plus 26 shipping. Couldn't find a used one, really need it though.

Glad your getting it back together. It's been a long haul for you, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Plus you can now consider yourself a hydraulic mechanic.
