Trying to get this wheel loader ready to do some improvements on our property, needs some work first. It had a leaky emergency brake air valve, replaced it. It built air pressure after that, to about 150 psi. Stepping on the brake pedal revealed a bigger air leak at the rear power cluster (can). A spare bench tested good, and we put it on. Haven't had a chance to try and bleed the brakes yet. The loader is two hours away, I'll be back up there Sunday to Tuesday. We know at least one wheel cylinder is leaking, front right. The system was dry, but the leak appeared after putting some fluid in.

Also have parts coming to make a parking brake link, it's missing. There's a bad transmission leak too, it's too high up to see where it's coming from. Maybe taking off the fender will do it? Getting the brakes working and major leaks stopped is the priority. The steer cylinders also leaked out all the fluid. There seems to be a secondary smaller retainer, a farm mechanic says packing can be added there without removing and taking apart the cylinder. The exhaust manifold had a bad leak too, got it off and a new gasket already. I got a parts catalog for an older machine, a few things are different. If anyone knows this machine, I would appreciate some help.

Already pressure washed it a lot too, couldn't really tell what was going on the way it was.

A member here sent me a PM saying Smoke Stak would be better suited for this machine, they have older stuff there. I went and looked, they're primarily early hit and miss engines. They do have a vintage construction equipment forum, but it gets very little use. I posted there anyway. I think we will find our way through it, I was just hoping to find others doing the same thing.

Got rebuilt parts to replace the bad ones, treadle valve (brake pedal valve), power cluster/master cylinder combo, and emergency brake relay. The power cluster wasn't working, the other two were leaking.

Got the exhaust manifold back on, wire wheeled the mating surfaces and chased the threads. Broke the oil gauge line in the process and had to cut it back and put a new ferrule on it.
