Kubota KX040 6-in-1 blade

I am on the hunt for an Excavator. I see this 6 in 1 blade and wonder what it brings to the party. I know an angle blade makes sense, but is a 6 way going to be the new option on all or just a novelty?

Handy for backfilling and stabilizing the machine on slopes and non-flat surfaces. Really nice to have.

The six way blade is not a novelty but a money maker! It can make a job site clean-up easy and eliminate a dozer with good site prep work done while excavating. I had a customer tell me he had booked three hours for dozer to finish and with that two hours of trucking and with the site maintained it took him 35 minutes with the six way to finish it vs the dozer. Win-win!

I have a KX-121-3 with just the 4 way blade. I really wish it had the 6 way. Much of the work I do is building horse and 4wheeler trails across steep hillsides. The 4way blade does a lot of work but a 6way would be so much better in doing final grading
