Yes Gamma I agree, I am living vicariously through these threads of mulching....
I havent pulled the trigger yet either on the Loftness Head Ive been debating....I have been watching a guy on iron planet relist his used Bradco Mini Magnum 165.5 mulcher 3 times now seems hes asking too much? Has a reserve/buy it now 17K..the highest bid so far I seen was 12.5k and auction ended due to reserve price not met...May have issues cant get a response from owner as to amount of hours etc..Plus the loftness head for my machine was quoted to me at 19.9k NEW....I think i can get it for less with some more haggling...And my machine only flows 26 gpm....So-I REALLY want that SK 120 Super Trak.$$$$.nice.But for a begginner mulcher??Not full time and barely part time....
I bid a job last week (will rent mulcher and machine)involving some mulching, root raking , grappling larger stuff into rolloff dumpster(s)and grading fill dirt on 2 acres on a sloped 25 degree parcel- private residence with 6 foot concrete walls surrounding.ALOT of running around but owner is limited by the openings he has to get ANY machine into area 83 inches.....
Love the pics QuikDraw-Keep them coming..Do you come in after those larger tress are felled? are those piles of mulch and roots? or just mulch? do you find your most of your customers prefer the mulch piled and removed or spread?
The job i spoke of previous the customer wants most of the mulch removed ..Lots of large oaks will be left standing to create a very shady canopy overhead..He seems to think hes gonna grow grass....I told him good luck not enough sunlight and would leave the mulch instead but hes the customer...Anyway hope yall aint bored by this but its good to vent it up...Looking for new threads each DAY...
regards,Scott-
