I had to remove the "hood" in order to fix some cracked plastic. This required removing the switch wiring. When I was trying to plug it back in, I didn't notice that two of the blades were bent together so when I turned the key, it produced some smoke from under the engine where the starter solenoid is. I quickly unhooked it, found the bent blade, straightened it and plugged the wiring harness back into the ignition switch.
Now it wont do anything. I can jump the solenoid and make the starter engage and turn the engine but it wont start.
The question is does anyone know of a fuse etc that is in the ignition wiring that I may have smoked. I looked at all the wiring and did not find any melted wires or hot plastic but something let the smoke outs so now it wont work.
I am hoping someone here fixed a similar problem so I don't have to spend $100+ on a service call.
