adjusting valves in a 14hp kohler in a 1970s 149 cub

Hey guys does anyone know a link that i can get step by step instructions on how to set the valves on a 14hp kohler in a 149 cub...its the original engine....thankyou

try going to Kohler Engines: Home I have had some success at finding service manuals and parts break downs.

You will need the model and spec #

If this an old "K" series like a K301 or K321 I believe the lifters are adjustable. You will have to remove the carb and possible the exhaust to access the valve cover. Once the valve cover is off you should see the lifters. If they are adjustable you will see a hex head that pushes on the valve stem. I don't remember what the valve settings are though.
