Transmission belt
How do I replace the transmission drive belt on my GT1554 tractor. It looks like I have to remove the PTO clutch, but how do I remove it. How do I hold the crankshaft in order to remove the 5/8 bolt on the bottom of the clutch???

Re: Transmission belt
There are some tabs on the frame around crankshaft hole, cut these off with a grinder/ cutoff wheel, they are ment to hold the belt on, but not needed. Otherwise, you have to remove clutch and engine mounting bolts. If you remove the clutch, an impact will work. Navigate to the lawn and garden section for more info.
