I actually have 1 CC 124 and 2 CC 129s (Hydrostat Tranny). I picked up the 124 with a 1A-U111 cadet tiller and had to overhaul the engine and finally got the drive belt for the tiller last week ($96) and it works reasonably well except the 124 has a manual tranny but no creeper gear although the decals are on the frame and the slot for one. With fully throttle to run the tiller, in 1st gear it runs a little too fast for good effect, although I am doing nothing but surface cultivation for weeds. The Cub Cadet 129 with Hydrostat was given to me and I was amazed that at full throttle I can set the tranny at very slow forward and it mows tall grass beautifully. The second Cub Cadet 129 is sitting unused and i am trying to find out if the tiller I have on the 124 can be used on the 129, since I would like the slow forward motion with full throttle for the PTO. It appears that the gear box for the 124 would fit the 129 but i am not sure if the 124 drive belt would apply. Or...should i look for a a Creeper gear and configure the 124?

Any suggestions?
Thank You

I found a tiller belt chart. Tiller Belt Chart - Only Cub Cadets

The 124 is a narrow frame.

The 129 is a wide frame.

I think your tiller is called a 1A.

It looks like the use a different belt. The wide frame takes on that is 2" longer.

I think the tiller would work best on a hydro tractor.
