Cub Cadet / SLT 1550
I have a 2007 Cub Cadet SLT 1550 with 621 hours on it. It has performed beautifully until this fall when I rode over a 4" deep tire impression that was made in my front yard. When the right rear tire dropped into the 4" ditch, the engine continued to run but the hydro drive stopped working. no forward or reverse. Relocated tractor to driveway and check for damage and/or leaks. none were apparent. Any ideas?

Jack up the rear and see how the wheels turn. (Only one or in reverse) then follow up on the rest of the drive line.

Start with the easy stuff; Check the drive belt-On/off or broken. Check the hydro bypass rod and see if it's locked/jammed in the release position. Ditto what Egon says. Check the axles.

That hydro bypass rod runs under the axle on the right hand side. I bet it's bent and jammed in the release position. Check that first.

left wheel rotates backwards, right wheel rotates forward.

Checked drive belt - good no issues. Hydro bypass rod is not bent but is loose. Both rear wheels turn wit or without bypass engaged

Not familiar enough with the tractor to speculate farther.

Is that a big box store tractor or a professional model?
