Just purchased a new Craftsman 26hp with electric power steering. Reason I'm on the Cub Cadet site is that
this tractor is the same as the Cub Cadet GX54" , except the Craftsman has the electronic power steering,
where the Cub Cadet GX54 has, Optimized steering system, sector and pinion/16" .
My question is on the Kohler 7000 Series engine. The engine seems to idle high.... is this a characteristic of the 7000 series
engine, or if not, is there any adjustment for idle on these engines. Also, is the life of these engines , similar to the
Command series Kohler engines ? The 7000 series does not sound or feel as refined as the Command engines.

Found the Kohler 7000 series manual online..... there is a small idle adjustment screw on the carb
close to the choke. Getting to it may be more trouble than it is worth, but I'll check it out.
Also , Kohler says these 7000 series engines are supposed to be long lived with cast iron cylinder sleeves.
Still, I think the Command engines are better.
