New Blades for LT1042 -- 1000 vs. 1500 Series

Local Home & Garden Store is Telling me the 42" Blades (package says for 1500 & 2000 Series Cub) is for my LT1042 (1000 Series) according to their book. I don't have the Part No. with me, but the Part# on my original blades match what is suggested by Cub Cadet Web Site for LT1042, but does not match the Part No. of the Blades the Home & Garden Store is recommending. Physically, the blades looke the same, except I think the Home & Garden Blade is thicker. Is it okay to use the 1500 Series Blades??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would call a Cub Cadet dealer and ask for the correct replacement number for the blades. I would try to get the correct blades and not something that is close.
Just my 2 cents.
