i have the above mentioned blower attached to my 2135 cub, and when i engage the pto, the belt slips off of the idler pulley and wedges itself between the pulley and it's arm, which starts to stall the engine/burn the belt.
it's a new belt, and what i've noticed is that the idler pulley, along with the tandem, blower/auger pulleys are not in alignment
/horizontal with the belt. in the factory? mounts, they're all tipped 'backward' a few degrees from vertical.
the local cub dealer doesn't have any bulletins from cub or suggestions

anyone have a suggestion?

It's so hard to tell but it sounds like the linkages might be bent.

hey art, thanks for the prompt reply

the linkages? there aren't any. and the puzzling thing is that, the idler arm looks like if it did have a compound bend, the belt would line up with it's pulley and the main pulley a lot better. but everything looks just like it does in the manual that i downloaded; straight, and a tad out of alignment. ?

I have the same snowblower but the idler arm has no bends in it at all and it seems to be running perfectly fine. I can send you pictures of any of the parts if you want.

I'm trying to find a copy of the manual. Could you email me a copy?

regards,

cliff
