Cub 1572 Super Garden Tractor,
HI Everyone, My name is Stevie Donaldson. I just ordered a new GT2544 with triple bagger. I have read alot of ya'lls post and it helped in my decision. Tractor should arrive by end of week, still hoping all goes well. No snow down here just grass and leaves. Thanks for the info furnished.

No mostly zero turns, but I will look for dust because I think that is where it is coming from somebody's show room or worst yet parking lot

No worries Stevie. Dealers can't carry the inventory they used to. You might find some stragglers here and there in showrooms this time of year, that's about it. Just make sure it's to your liking when you pick it up or they deliver it.

Stevie -

Congrats on the purchase. Although I don't have a 2544, I have owned Cub products for the last 15 years, currently own 5 Cubs, and have had great success with them.
Enjoy it!

I have had my GT 2550 since March of '05 and if your experience with your 2544 is anyhting like mine, you will enjoy the purchase.

I know where you can get a great deal on left-over 08 models ;)

I think they have a 2550. And another 2500 Series of an unknown size.

2544 was the size I originally wanted. The dealer only had the 2542 (smaller motor and tires) or the GT 2550, said the 44 was hardest to sell so he didn't carry many??. Needless to say i ended up with the 50- kinda over kill for my small yard but oh well.

Yes, you can find wicked deals on leftover models if you can hold out until Feb/March. Prior to buying my 2544, I could have had a new, old stock 2004 2186 for ~$2300. It's basically a 2542 w/ a Briggs Vanguard 18hp (maybe 16?), 42" deck and the aluminum rear end case. I hesitated and it was gone a week or 2 later. Even so, when I got my 2544 in 2005, MSRP was $2999 and that's what I paid (+ tax of course).
