For you 7*** owners out there: I am not near any dealers and I needed an air filter element in a hurry once about fifteen years ago. I took my plugged up one in to the NAPA store and tried to see if it was a standard element. Apparently it isn't. What I did find out is, it is identical to a standard one, with exception of the built in canister lid on the CubCadet's element. I bought that NAPA element. I took a fine grinder to the lid end of my old CC element and removed the outer portion of it. I was able to press it onto the one from NAPA. I have been using that same cut off ring from my one and only CC element and continue to do so for many successive filter changes.

Warning, the fit is really tight to get it on the new filter, so care must be taken to keep straight. Provide good support when pressing the old filters out and the new ones in. It has worked out well for me.

You can see the seam where the rim from the old cap slips over the body of the NAPA element.

Check out Baldwin Filters, they are as good or better than Wix/Napa. Baldwin Filters | Home filter # PA3664-FN it has the metal lid/cover.
