While mowing the other day my electrical clutch quit.
I parked in the garage and started looking for a reason. no luck. Try to restart, no juice, blown fuse. replace fuse. blows again. Wiggle some wires replace fuse. try to start, as soon as I turn key to run or run with lights starter motor is running turn key to start motor quits. replace igniton switch. Same problem with new switch. look around see some arcing on the wire that comes off of the middle terminal on the generator moduel fixed problem there try again similar problem now the starter starts to turn as soon as key is turned as before but now am blowing fuses again. checked small lead at starter am getting a constant voltage on it when it seems that it should be a switched power lead. Any help is apprecialted. chuck46-2@peoplepc.com

Are you sure the ignition switch is hooked up correctly? You should have one hot wire to the starter that is always hot and another that only is hot when the key is in the cranking position.

Sounds like there is still a short to ground to blow the fuse instantly.
