3184 Fuel Problem
I have a 3184 I think its about 10 years old and it has been great all of those years. Its starts but when I release the key it shut down, as long as I hold the key on it runs fine. Thier must be a switch that is shutting down the fuel but I cant find one. I hoping that someone can help me track this down.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: 3184 Fuel Problem
Maybe you have a bad ignition switch. Are you saying that holding the switch in the cranking position allows it to run and releasing it to the normal ON position it stops? There is a separate contact in the switch to provide voltage to the coil while cranking and when you release the switch it uses a different contact.

Re: 3184 Fuel Problem
Bob my problem turned out to be a bad safety switch on the seat.
