How can I tell what model year a tractor is?

I am going to purchase a cub 5252 and 54" mowing deck. The model year matters to me. How can I tell if these items are 2004 or 2005.

give me the model # and serial # and I will try my best to find out for you. And when I say model # it will be on the same tag at the serial number (in other words the model number isn't 5252).
