Cub Cadet 7205 Question

   / Cub Cadet 7205 Question #11
In order to use the older plugs you have to have the older controller, harness and maybe the relay. Most of the later 7000's used the QGS (quick glow system) plugs and controller and the earlier Case /Mitsu's did not. That said there is probably no reason why the earlier system could not be adapted. IMHO it is simpler and more reliable. If anyone has done this, please post?

Thanks for the info Outlander, very interesting. I could not believe the price difference on the two...just outrageous. Hopefully I don't have to worry about it on my Cub Yanmar for awhile.

VinceSMTA, I googled that part number you posted and came up with a diagram of the CaseIH glow plug. http://www.sparexusa.com/Catalogs/Compact/case_ih.pdf

The measurements shown are VERY close to those of my old NGK plugs. If the "D" measurement of 10mm means diameter of the threads, then mine are a hair shy of 10mm. (of course my gauge isn't the best).

I might order one just to see if they are the same. Like you say, the price difference is outrageous!

Save your money. The voltage is different. The old number is 10.5V, The new ones are 8V.
The old ones fit oerfectly. They are 10mm. Problem is... they don't heat correctly with the newer controller. I'm sure the old ones would be just fine with the matching controller.
