Default 2542 cut

Does anyone else experience a lousy cut with this tractor? seems mine leaves a small uncut strip. I have checked everything numerous times and still have the problem. The gap between the blades is much smaller than the strip of grass.

I have the 2544. I have the same problem too (strip on the right), but only if I set the cut too low or if mud or grass has built up on that side of the deck. I keep it clean underneath and keep my setting a little higher.

check the guide wheels they should just be touching the grass when you mow. also make sure you don't have a bent blade and the deck is a click nose down out of level.

Thanks for the replies. I think someone on MTF might have nailed the problem. I left the mulcher plug in after doing the leaves last fall. Think grass buildup may be causing the problem. Will take it out and cut the grass and see if it corrects the problem.

Rann007 what you said sort of confirms that suspicion...

Yeah, keep that deck shiny underneath if you can. It's the #1 cause of rust and wear.
