I'm using pins for the hook too. In addition to running a 1/2" drill through the hook, I had to clean out the holes in the hitch with a drum sander on my Dremel. Not a big deal.

The 26 inch wide hitch
Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices The 27.5 one Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices I to wonder when hey started the second width one. And while we are speaking, the lated catalog had the 26 inch one on sale and under had the upper LINK not the adapter but a upper link. So don't confuse the two. The adapter for the top is a different number. one that i have yet to see them post

They don't post the adapter part number. That number is in one of the threads here on TBN. I'll have to look for it or call HF. Once I find the part number, you can order the adapter from HF using the "Order from Printed Catalog" option on the web page. You can't even search on that part number.

Thanks white.I should say I'm not looking to purchase, I have just thought that good advertising would have them listing that part, its even shown in the PDF instructions. I have emailed HF and suggested this improvement on their site as I have heard of people getting the upper link thinking it was the adapter. But they responded that they didn't have the 'power' to change the way it was advertised. That doesn't make sense to me but....
got it. Call their customer service and ask for Item #29309, Description "93691 Hitch Adapter. Hope this works ...

I was kind of confused myself, but, since I PO'ed the Mahindra two threads, I'm just posting in the general groups and not commenting....lol...I'm not loyal to any one product..IMHO...

If you buy the adapter with the hitch it's only 9.99 (close) for shipping on both. Shipping on that kind of weight is amazing IMHO. Maybe they make a profit off the other 65% (?) crap they sell. One mans treasure is anothers junk....ha I have about a 50/50 rate on good/bad on HF stuff. The quick hitch is probably worth half it's weight in recycle....lol. But it works for me.
That being said, it's another product manafuctered in China and all of our scrap is being shipped because of the demand. Did anyone see 60 minutes on Sunday. China's investment into the US is 200 billion by 1 firm. They are making 1 billion a day on the reseves they have....US is being sold..... |
