My snowblower has a bar located below the top link attachment. The top hook on the quick hitch has no way to get connected. It will not slide into place. Basically, it's not quick hitch compatible. In this case you use the adapter.

When you sometimes will see the quick hitches advertised, and see they also have the top link close to the ad. Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices I was meaning not to confuse this item with the adapter that is availably for the quick hitch. Call their customer service and ask for Item #29309, Description "93691 Hitch Adapter the adapter is the upper adapter for the hitch NOT the adjustable upper LINK. I have emailed them a couple of times and suggested that they also add the adapter to the hitch advertisement. Id think many people would also buy it. Their response was that the manufacturer doesn't want it to be advertised. Seems a bit weird, but that was the response over a year ago now. Just my thought that it would save allot of people the trouble of finding they need one and having to pay shipping and the delay. The purpose of the adapter is to allow you to hook onto the upper link when the design of the implement is not able to hook to the 'J' hook. WHITE's above picture is a reference, of the part, and you can see it in the PDF owners manual here. http://www.harborfreight.com/manuals...3999/93691.pdf I hope this all helps. Al

From LSU AgCenter:
ASAE Standard Quick Hitch Pin Dimensions An ASAE standard Category 1 quick hitch actually requires Category 2 hitch pins at the top and bottom. You can buy at implement dealers and farm supply stores inexpensive bushings that you just slip over the Category 1 pins on the implement. The bushings will be labeled Cat. 1 2 upper and Cat. 1 2 lower. If your implements conform to these dimensions, it will be easy and inexpensive to use an ASAE standard quick hitch. If your implements do not conform to these dimensions, you have three choices: (1) modify the implements, (2) use a delta-type quick hitch that will fit almost any implement (but at higher cost) or (3) don't use a quick hitch. .........or buy a HF adapter...ha |

Looks like EZ-HITCH is being advertised on any thread for quick hitch discussion. 129.00 (109.00 + 20.00 shipping). I'm into my HF (was on sale) for about 85.00 and it also takes care of the top link verses just a lower link solution only.

Can I use it to yard logs? Can I engage an attachement without getting of the tractor? Can you sell it to me for $69.99? These are my needs... |
