As for the price, there is always the issue of finding out what price the market is willing to pay for a product. I agree that they would probably sell better at $99.99, I just can't sell them at that price and make it worth my time. If I can ever get them into a retail store then I think that would be the price. I just have not been able to make that happen yet. I can't even get this site to respond to me about advertising here.

I am new to this forum after the administration deleted me three times I think they said I did not meet there critera?? who knows! anyway after the fourth time I emailed them and I now have the privelage of talking with you guys, My question is on these quick hitches the ones I am talking about are two seperate ones that you put on your three point lift arms, everyone seems to really like them my question is how do you keep the arms from swinging around when you are in the process of backing up to your implement? am I missing something or is there and arm or support to go accross both arms to stablize it and keep it rigid? If any of you get a chance let me know hope I have not confused anyone by calling something it is not thanks Eddie New guy be nice

At CARTERANDSONSLLC.COM we suggest one of two different solutions...

A. We offer a spreader bar; that is basically a large turnbuckle. It connects to each EZ-HITCH and adjusts the arms to the proper distance needed for each implement, and then keeps the arms at that distance. Using the spreader bar will also allow the user to bump the implements into place if you fail to line the tractor up perfectly with it.



B. You can simply place a bungy cord from one arm to the other. This does a fairly adaquate job of keeping the arms from swinging and flopping around when there is not an implement attached. It really depends on how tight the bungy cord is. You won't be able to move the implement into place though as the bungy cord is simply not strong enough to hold the arms in place when pressure is put on them.

I notice on the HF website that they list two Quick Hitches

Harbor Freight Tools

The $99 QH has a Inside clearance: 26-1/2" while the $84.99 QH has a Inside clearance: 27-1/2" and both say "Meets ASAE specifications"

So this is a little confusing...anyone here know exactly what the difference is, and which model maybe more compatatable with implements?

27-1/2" is the one I have. It's working for all my implements. Others that bought the 26-1/2" have had to spread them to make them work. I noticed the 97214-5VGA (27.5") has gone way up in price. I bought mine for 69.99.

I have the HF 3pt quick hitch that I bought for $69. It was the 26 1/2" version, so I had to use my bottle jack and spread the arms 1". With the easy modification the hitch works, however, I usually am sorry in the end that I did not spring for a better tool, implement or whatever.

My opinion is to use the money you were going to spend on the HF unit and come up with the rest of the money for a better hitch, i.e., quality, fit, finish and tolerances, etc. The HF unit works but is just very sloppy.

My HF hitch works great. What do you mean by it being sloppy?
