Markham Toothbar on a BX24

Just got my Tooth bar and installed it today...Looks and fits great!
And I also got my rear wheel spacers from BroTek and they are truly a work of art...going to install them and my front skid plate from BroTek when things dry up a bit out there...
Yah, I know...my bucket looks too clean...I will be doing a mulch job on Monday and spending a day next weekend pulling stumps and moving dirt and rocks around for a client so it should start getting some scrapes and scratches then...

never saw the spacers before. Is there a particular reason for needing them?

It gives the rear wheels a 4" wider stance overall, making the tractor more stable. That is the only reason I know of...

Not being a smart guy but if you don't have them and never heard of them, likely you don't need them.

BTW Mowbizz, I like the skid plate. I was running through some brush today clearing out branches and small limbs and had to keep stopping to clear debris from underneath. Stuff was poking up into the underbelly all over. I'm going to have to look into a skid plate or protective structure for my hyd filter hanging way down there!

I think that's a good idea...some have used something as simple as a rigid piece of plastic or similar lightweight material, velcro'd to the underside...just a simple shield might make the difference in that wayward stick poking its way up there...

Thats what I figured but I hadnt seen that anyone that made these, and, I didnt know if there was interference on the bx24's with the back hoe on. Deffiantly something I will need to look into, as my back yard is quite steep, I will need all the help I can get for stability.

The wheel spacers are required (at least for some models) if you want to use tire chains; the tires are to close to the fender for chains. Kubota sells spacers also (not a nice as the ones posted here though!)

Spacers on the front of the machine do no real good, especially if your front axle pivots (most if not all CUT's?). You only need them on the rear for stability. If you're using them to set spacing for crops then you might want them for the front. I don't know if any CUT's that are set up for that kind of work though. Granted, I don't know very much about tractors in general so I could be wrong about that last statement.
