| Front Bucket mod, 50" bucket out of a 60" I haven't been on this site in awhile so you all will have put up with me venting all the little projects I've concocted in the last few months.
I wanted a small bucket just for a single application and couldn't justify $600.00 for a new one.
Need the small bucket for clearing mine and a few of the neighbors public side walks about 600ft in all. Under certain circumstances smaller equipment just can't handle it. For light snow I go right through it with garden tractor and plow, when it's deeper I use WBH snow blower. But sometimes it's just to much a struggle after the road plows go by and really pile it on.
Found this light duty 61 inch bucket at the dealer all beat and got it for $50. Someone actually welded a hook in the middle of the top on this single wall construction, had it all caved in. (didn't get a pic before I jacked it back out)
Our sidewalks are 60" and the 61" bucket would tear up the grass, thus the need for the smaller bucket.
Anyway the pics will tell the rest of the story,
JB.

JB. | Hey JB,
If you get bored you can weld the 2 ends you cut off to make a 10" bucket as a "conversation piece".. maybe put ice in it and put some beer's in there?
I want to know how long you stared at the bucked with the ends cut off and thought about just leaving it that way..???

| Re: Front Bucket mod, 50" bucket out of a 60" Nice work. I had the same issue but in reverse. I had a 54" bucket and wanted a 60" or bigger to cover my tire tracks. I lucked out as you did and found a 66" bucket at a dealer brand new. The guy sold it for $100. All I had to do was cut the mounts off and make new ones to fit my FEL. Now like you I have 2 buckets.

| Re: Front Bucket mod, 50" bucket out of a 60" Here is my 60'' blade. I also have a 42'' blade on a Bolens tractor and a 42'' blade for my CCGT2554 garden tractor The 42 inchers are nice for the narrower stuff. Then too there is the 48" FEL bucket on my BX23.

Just wondering about my pics, I like to put pics in every post, it's so easy now not having to resize or go thru host photo site.
Just wonder if everyone's browser resizes them, I know to large a pic is a pain to have to scroll thru. my browser resizes them to fit the screen, if I click on them they expand.
