These are the upgrades or customiza I have done to my BX. You might of seen some of them before, but I thought I would put them into one post.

#1 is the bracket for useing chains and a small boom pole.
#2 & 3 are the front bumper with chain holders.
#4, 5, 6, & 7 is the skid plate and how it hooks up,( with 4 pins ).
#8 is the tool box and the step that uses 1 bolt to hold it on.
#9 is of the seat belts that I moved so I didn't have to unhook the seat to rase.
#10 You can see the draw bar, the adjustable lower links, and the bracket that I changed to get ready for the hyd. top link.
#11 is a different picture of the bracket for the hyd top link

I like the lower links a lot. Getting very tired of twisting the turnbuckles on the factory system.

Is there any reason to think that there will be un-wanted sway in an implement since they are not as adjustable as the turnbuckles?

There has to be a little sway, but not much. Not enough that would be any problem at all. I think I have one set of holes 3/4" on center and the matching set @ 1" center, so that should give me 1/4" adjustment. Or maybe 1" and 1 1/4" not real sure, but anyway they are 1/4" differents.
Some guys like the turnbuckles, but they are not for me. That was the 1st thing I done when I got it.

How about a bucket level indicator rod. I would be lost without mine.
Attached is the design I drew up and fabricated.
It worked good so I ended up welding a tab on the loader cross tube instead of clamping to the tube as shown in the drawing.

I looked at your level indicator and you done a nice job on it. I'm sure it helps alot, my L4240 and only look at it now and then. I have moved alot of dirt and now I just go by feel. I have ran a track loader, rubber tire loader and my tractors and have got so I can clean a pile of dirt up and leave the grass. But I must say it took me a long time.

I'll try this again, might end up with 2 post.
I have working on a good way of making adjustable lower links for awhile. So the other day I just jumped in and done it. They ended up 3 1/2" longer, but that is OK with me. I also had my brother cut some wheel spacers and put them on. They are 1 3/4" wide. I guess that would be #10 and 11.
I didn't order the hyd top link and sure glad I didn't. After the hyd top link I hope I'll be done with it.

I love telescopic lower links. I got some for my Yanmar and that extra 4" of length lifts my attachments high enough to actually set them on a trailer. They also are very useful when I hook up to my PHD since they can easily extend and allow easy installation. I really like the Mods you did to your BX, especially the skid plate that drops down. Very cool!
