Fired up my 1720 Turbo to snow blow today!
When it's 3 degrees outside and your body parts are freezing that extra power is really nice when you want to get the job done quickly.
When pushing it the boost hit 8~10 psi with no smoke and it has that beautiful turbo growl & whine!
It now has the power to take that first full pass without bogging.
This has been one of the best spur of the moment mods I have ever done.
Several weeks ago I had a trailer load of green wood approx 1.4 cords cut, split & tightly packed and wanted to see how it would pull it up our hill.
Prior to the turbo installation the tractor without any attachment would labor to hit top governed rpm (2500) in high gear.
Now it will briskly run up to its new governed rpm of 2800 pulling 1.4 cords of wood.
